However, another friend from a different paper product company, introduced me to Traditional Scrapbooking. I had done some scrapbooking before using our Project Life/Memories and More pocket pages and enjoyed it a lot....but the idea of a big piece of cardstock 12" x 12" staring at me...terrified me. At first.
Once you cut that beautiful DSP, attached it to the 12" x 12" base, throw on some photographs, do a bit of stamping, the odd die and embellishment....boom...a spread is born. See below.
I used our Petal Garden Memories and More card pack, 4 x 6 and 4 x 3 journal cards, and the embellishment rose stickers ang tags. Plus some Sweet Sugarplum cardstock. This page was from July 1, 2017...the day my eldest son proposed to his girlfriend after his live performance at the Canada Day festivities...and the family BBQ the next day to celebrate.
So then....I was hooked. I dug out all my beautiful Stampin' Up Designer Series Paper, and set to work to make another spread, depicting our move to the beautiful picturesque village of Merrickville, Ontario.
I used the lovely Daisy Delight Designer Series paper, Old Olive cardstock and Color Theory Memories and More Card Pack. I decided to stamp directly onto the White 12" x 12" card stock using the Hand Lettered Alphabet and a cute stamp set called Wonderful Life from a previous Holiday catalogue. I loved how it turned out. I will replace the three white squares with photographs, once I have them printed.
I am thinking of running a scrapbook class...keep an eye out for dates and price list coming soon.
